As we approach the ten-year anniversary of Juniper and Ivy, we are elated to embark on a bold new journey that honors a decade of culinary discovery and innovation within the San Diego community.

For the month of August, we’ll be featuring a constantly-rotating, $80 4-course prix-fixe menu; a carefully-curated exploration of San Diego’s hyper-local ingredients that showcases our kitchen’s culinary maturity and commitment to the community. At Juniper and Ivy, we have always celebrated the vibrant and unique flavors of our region. With next month’s prix-fixe menu format, we take this celebration to new heights.

“When Juniper and Ivy opened nearly ten years ago, I was both confident in and apprehensive about our culinary mission,” says Owner Mike Rosen. “Our goal: to create a refined but not stuffy menu using the best local ingredients available. The Juniper and Ivy family could not be more appreciative of the support we have received over the last decade and hope that our prix-fixe retrospective will ignite and invigorate yet another culinary conversation.”

Our team of talented chefs, led by James Beard Nominated Chef Anthony Wells, has passionately crafted a series of inspired courses–each dish telling a story that reflects the rich heritage and innovation that have become synonymous with Juniper’s kitchen. The new menu format allows us to showcase our commitment to sustainable practices and further highlight our support for local farmers, fishermen, fermenters and artisans. From boutique farm-fresh produce to artisanal cheeses, sustainably caught seafood and locally sourced meats, every ingredient will be thoughtfully selected and ingeniously transformed.

This is more than just a menu, it is a true collaboration between our talented team and the hardworking individuals who bring these exceptional ingredients to our kitchen each day, allow us to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to the growth and success of our culinary community.

Our commitment to exceptional dining goes beyond the food — we believe that the perfect wine elevates every dish, and will provide optional pairings designed to complement the menu and to reflect the same ethos we hold in the kitchen. Our sommeliers have carefully selected vintages both from Southern California vineyards and across the globe with focus on small-batch, artisanal producers who share our passion for quality and sustainability.

A small a la carte offering will be available in certain sections of the restaurant, as outlined in the options offered when booking your reservation through OpenTable. Our team has poured their heart and soul into creating this homage to San Diego, and we look forward to sharing it with loyal patrons and new diners alike.
